Ordu is a coastal city located in the Central Black Sea region, one of Turkey’s leading hazelnut-producing areas. Boztepe Hill, which overlooks the city center, is known as a scenic viewpoint accessible by cable car. The green hills stretching along the coast form the region’s characteristic landscape.

Ordu is one of the most livable provinces in the Eastern Black Sea region, thanks to the sea views from Boztepe—accessible by cable car from the city center—the historic Paşaköy mansions, and its leading role in hazelnut production. The ski slopes of Çambaşı Plateau are also popular in the winter.
